The Things We Carry
The Things We Carry
Some stories are spoken aloud. Others are carried quietly, shaping who we are long before anyone else notices.
The Things We Carry explores that unseen weight through the language of nature. A watchful eye rests beneath a crown of twisting branches, where a small nest shelters new life. Tears become flowing water, reminding us that even sorrow can nourish something beautiful, while roots, leaves and winding vines speak of resilience, growth and the remarkable ability to keep going.
Like much of my work, this piece invites the viewer to pause and discover their own story within it. It is a reflection on memory, hope, healing and the quiet strength we carry through every season of life.
