The Quiet It Keeps
The Quiet It Keeps
Part of my ongoing Double Exposure Series, The Quiet It Keeps takes a slightly different path from my earlier silhouette pieces. Rather than reducing the subject to a simple outline, this illustration preserves the cat’s features and character, allowing the hidden landscape to become something carried within rather than replacing the subject entirely. The result is a quieter, more intimate connection between the animal and the world it holds.
A moonlit woodland unfolds beneath the surface, where a solitary crow keeps watch among bare branches. It is a drawing about stillness, mystery and the quiet stories that nature seems to whisper when no one else is listening.
