There is something instinctive in the call of the wild — something ancient that remains quietly present beneath the surface.
The Call Within explores that connection through a double-exposure composition, bringing together the silhouette of a wolf and the landscape within it, as another wolf steps forward from the woodland form. The result is a quiet meeting of animal and environment, suggesting the pull of something felt rather than seen.
Drawn by hand using archival inks and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, with the layered textures and restrained colour adding depth and atmosphere to the piece.
